Blog 4 Bishop Museum Grossology

My specific field of study is elementary education and my link is on Bishop Museum. At the moment, the museum has an exhibition called animal exhibition. Our students are attending this exhibit on Friday. The students will be learning about different types of insects and animals in the wild. For example, they will be learning about a frog that gives birth by belching out. Also, learn about the color blood of different animals. This is one of the main exhibit going on right now,but they have other resources for teachers.
This particular site goes above and beyond towards helping teachers. This site has link for teachers which contains activities for a class from k-12. For example, this site contains a lesson plan on plate tectonics and how the earth's crust moves. A lesson plan has been written up for the teacher to use and it has the steps for writing a lesson plan that we use for the college of ed. More importantly, the lesson plans given coincides with the DOE standards. In the lesson, they have a section that addresses the standard, so teachers can decide wether the lesson meets the standards or not. Overall, the Bishop Museum is a great website for teachers to use as well as visit because the students will get to learn about Social Studies and Science subjects.
